God's Work Our Hands School Snack Drive
Many times throughout the year nurses in the Forest Lake School District Health Offices have students who come in hungry and unable to participate in school. A snack to start out their day helps with stomach aches not to mention concentration and behaviors in the classrooms.
“The snacks donated to the health office are such a blessing. So many times I have students come down because they did not eat breakfast and were hungry. The snacks are also a “cure-all” for students that do not feel well. once they have a snack and juice, they feel better and ready to go back to class!”
AND
“Occasionally I get students and even teachers that for some reason or other missed breakfast before school and are grateful t5hat there is something available at school.”
Join with our 5th and 6th graders as they ask for donations of snacks for their schools. On Sunday, October 3rd grab a “Hand” to remember to bring in your snacks on Sunday’s October 10th and 17th. We appreciate your help.
Idea’s of snacks: granola bars, crackers, cereal bars, pudding cups, applesauce pouches, to name a few… gluten-free items are also needed...
