Dear Graduates of 2019

Posted by Jean Peikert, RN on

Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

Dear Graduates of 2019,

A person who lives right has more power in his silence than another has by words. Character is like bells which ring out notes and which, when touched accidentally even, resound with sweet music. (Philip Brooks)

What a great event, graduation from high school. You will be leaving the security of home but remember the best advice you can receive is in the Bible. Read it – Believe it. If you do this, watch how your life can be changed and bring you joy and peace that we all desire.

You have reached a key milestone and a crossroad in your walk thus far. As you continue on this walk through life, may you leave evidence which makes a difference in the lives of others.

I recently read this statement by J.C. Watts:

“Life is divided into three phases; you learn, then you earn, then you serve. Now it’s time to do some learning and earning to build the career that allows you to give back later.”

I recently received a card that had this message.

“Success lies not in how well-known you are but how well-respected, not in your power to take but your willingness to give. Success is the small voice you heard within when you know you have done your best.”

I hope you do what you love, and find work that makes you happy and live life with gusto.

Congratulations on your graduation. May you experience the joy and blessing from trusting and walking with God. You have read about and also know people who have achieved their dreams, now go and achieve yours!
