The devotions were written and produced for Faith Lutheran by The Christian Write, a small group led by Joanne Anderson, an accomplished writer and artist. Available beginning Ash Wednesday. |

| Keeping Balance in Your Life - March 2 - March 23 | | |
| Small Group opportunity with Life Coach, Alex Keto. A four-part series concerning keep our lives in balance with regards to our relationships with Money/Work, Health, Spouse/Friends, and Church and God. The series will begin Tuesday, March 2nd – 7-8:30 pm and will run four consecutive Tuesdays in March. |

| Lenten Food Drive - March 3 - 24th | | |
| Sunday School students decorated bags for the food drive. These Bags will be available starting March 3rd. Please take a bag, fill it with groceries and return it to church by Wednesday night March 24th. This is a church wide activity tied to the “Life In Balance” Lenten series. |

| Tour of St John's Abbey in Collegeville and the St. John's Bible - Monday, March 15th 8am - 4pm | | |
| We will depart by motor coach for St. John’s Abbey at 8:00 am. upon arrival we will take part in a Bible presentation in the Alcuin Library followed by a viewing of The Museum and Manuscript Library gallery. We follow the viewing of the St. John’s Bible by joining the monks in Noon Prayer in the Abbey Church. Lunch will be in the refectory with Brother John Hanson followed by an Abbey Tour with Brother John. We will return to Faith Church at around 4 pm. Cost: $25 – includes transportation, Bible Presentation and Viewing, Lunch and Abbey Tour. |

| Dead See Scrolls - March 27 | | |
| Come see the Dead Sea Scrolls at the Science Center in St. Paul. We will gather at Faith Church, Saturday, March 27th at 10 am. Dr. Richard Nysse, Professor of Old Testament at Luther Seminary will be giving a presentation about the scrolls. We will then have lunch at the church and then go by bus to the ScienceCenter. The cost is $45 which includes the speaker, lunch, bus, and museum admission. You can call the church office for reservations or sign up at the WelcomeCenter. We should return back to ForestLake at around 5 pm. Please sign up in the church office by March 22, 2010 or send an email to Deanna at deannar@faithfl.org |

| Friends Make a Difference |
| This is a program that is available for adults who wish to mentor students in elementary and junior high school. The schools select students that can benefit from this program. Cathy Bystrom, who is the head of “Friends Make a Difference” will be coming to Faith Church to give an hour-long presentation to tell us about the program and how we may be involved. The date and time of the presentation is yet to be determined. |

Keeping Balance in Your Life Outline

Faith Lutheran Church Small Group Workshop: Bring More Balance to Your Life! Concept: Tuesday evenings starting March 2 for four weeks from 7 - 8:30 PM; Any number of participants are welcome! We will explore where our lives may be out of balance and how we might be able to get more/better balance; We will use the Wheel of Life to determine where each participant might need to focus on their re-balancing efforts; We will specifically discuss our relationships with: · Love/Family/Friends/Spouse · Money/Work · Health/Body · God/Church/Religion/Spirit Small Group will be lead by congregation member: Alex Keto Alex's Background: Alex and his family have been members of FLC for over 17 years. Alex is a trained life/career coach. Alex completed an extensive co-active coaching program with Coaches Training Institute (CTI), one of the top international coach training programs. Alex is an active member of the International Coaches Federation and the Minnesota Coaches Association. He has a masters degree in Leadership from Augsburg College in Minneapolis. Alex has worked in marketing for over thirty years for both profit companies and non-profit organizations. He owned/operated his own small franchise business for over seven years. He currently is working as a Business Coach for KnowledgeSphere, Inc., a franchisee of ADVICOACH. What is Co-Active Life Coaching: A life coach will work with you to define your dreams & aspirations, what you value, what you are most passionate about in your life, what you might want to change in your life to make it better/more meaningful. The coach will help you to develop plans/actions to begin to make those changes and then the coach will hold you accountable for executing YOUR plan. The coach will be your biggest fan. Your advocate/mentor/trainer/teacher/friend. All done from a very positive/uplifting perspective. |
