The refugee committee at Faith has had a long history of partnering with Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota when it comes to welcoming refugees from around the world. Faith Lutheran has a unique opportunity to help the children at the southern border who have been living without their family members for months or years.  Refugee Outreach has signed on to help Lutheran Social Service with their new program called Safe Release Support.  LSS has been tasked with finding relatives of these children at the border and, when one is found in Minnesota, screen them and provide them with support services for the child.  Refugee Outreach would like to provide a backpack for the child when they come to Minnesota.  It will be a welcome gift to them to show that we see them as precious children and worthy of a loving home in this state.  Love thy neighbor, no exceptions.  The backpacks are ready to be filled!  Will you help fill them?
