It's hard to believe that we are almost into May!  Here are the celebrations for this week at Faith.

 

Old Guys Meeting In-Person

On Tuesday, April 20 Pastor John and the participants in the "Old Guys" Bible Study met in person for the first time in over a year!  How did this happen? Because everyone in the group was properly vaccinated against COVID-19.  We are glad to see parts of church life return to some kind of normal, but we are also thankful that technology kept groups together during this challenging time.  As more and more of us are vaccinated, expect more activities to shift to in-person again.

 

New Coffeemaker Stands at the Ready!

We look forward to the day we can gather again for fellowship! To that end, we are working to get the kitchen ready!  A volunteer crew has cleaned the kitchen from top to bottom. We also purchased a new coffee maker (thanks for the Abundance Campaign) and are testing other appliances to make sure they are in good working order. Look for news about gathering for fellowship when the CDC says it is safe to do so.

Speaking of the Abundance Campaign, it has been extended to May 17!  Have you donated yet? We are thankful for those who have already given out of their abundance.  We currently raised over $8000 through your generosity! 

Any checks or online donations with the word "ABUNDANCE" in the memo, will go towards an abundance campaign. Our goal is to raise $50,000 by May 17. We will use half for sanctuary and kitchen upgrades around Faith and give half away split among ministry partners including local food shelves, housing support and refugee services.

 

Plastics Drive Totals

Thanks to everyone who donated to the recent Plastics Collection Drive. Our results from TerraCylce show we I'd also like to mention that I have finally gotten the results from TerraCycle. We collected enough waste for 150 Terra points. With what we raised, it can provide 20 families in South Asia with clean water for a week, and also remove 60 pounds of carbon from the atmosphere. Again, thanks for taking part in caring for God's creation!
