The Faith council met in person on Tuesday May 11, 2021.  We continued discussion on chapters 3 and 4 of the book The Post-Quarantine Church: Six Urgent Challenges and Opportunities That Will Determine the Future of Your Congregation. Discussion around connecting with the local community and the power of prayer.  It is reaffirming as Faith is actively on the right path.  We will continue reviewing the next 2 chapters at our next council meeting.

 

Some Old and new business topics included:

• Review of April financials - Thank you, Faith, for your continued support.

 

• Abundance campaign – we are blessed by the generosity from an anonymous donor for a $10,000 match challenge.

 

• Job opening for a modern worship art director is now posted.

 

• Liberating structures for missions - council supported going through this process of looking at where we are as a congregation, spiritual practices, exploration of mission, vision and values, and organizational structures.

 

The council is grateful for the continued congregational and community support both financially and through acts of kindness by helping our neighbors in need.  God’s peace.
