The Faith Church Council met in-person on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, for the regularly scheduled monthly meeting. After a devotion based on Psalm 31, a time of prayer for identified needs, and a concluding discussion on the book study of The Post-Quarantine Church, old and new business topics included:

• Review of May, June, and July financials. This congregation continues to support the work of Faith with great generosity! Thank you, Faith!
• Discussion on the rising COVID concerns and wellness needs. At this time Faith Council strongly encourages both vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals, young and old, to wear masks within the building. But the decision for each individual is left to the individual.
• An update on Faith’s involvement with the Synod’s Liberating Structures project. The congregation had the opportunity to take an online survey and now will have the opportunity for a one on one conversation with a member of this project’s committee. • Faith Fall Kickoff Plans. Get ready to join the fun on Sunday, August 29, 2021! Awesome worship! Sunday School information! Backpack Blessing! Congregational lunch! Details are available in the church email or on the website.

 

The Council offers thanks and praise to God for the dedication and leadership of Pastor John and Deacon Nina during these long months of pivot and renewal and outreach. We offer thanks and praise to God for the dedication and energy of Joyce Getchell, Deanna Ramberg, Cathy Nelson, Linda Burk, Pastor Steve, Jean Peikert, Dennis Sanders, Alan Ball, Pam Lautzenheiser, Amy Keis, Dean Jensen, Shana Praske, and Ginger Kell. These talented staff members deserve applause and cheers for all they do. Together with the army of volunteers and congregational members who support this church in so many ways, Faith Lutheran is what it is: AWESOME and ALIVE! Amen!
